Dr Tupper joined Lilly Research Centre, Erl Wood, Windlesham as a graduate chemist in August 1969. He studied for his PhD in Medicinal Chemistry at Chelsea College, University of London whilst employed by Lilly during the period 1976-1980. His PhD studies were on the dopamine antagonist properties of the 7- and 8- aza analogues of ergot alkaloids. Dr Tupper has worked in Neurosciences since 1973, and his primary areas of interest are the medicinal chemistry of dopaminergic agents, serotonergic agents and neuronal calcium channels. His current position is as a Research Leader in Discovery Chemistry at Earl Wood.
