Technical instructions

This course makes extensive use of multimedia applications. As such you will need a variety of plug-ins. Please check with your current System Report below and take appropriate action as indicated in "Report Conclusion".

These pages are optimized for use with versions of Internet Explorer and Netscape 4.0 and upwards. The latest versions of both are available for free and contain new features that will making navigating easier.

Check your System Requirements

In order to allow proper viewing of the webcast, please make sure your system configuration meets the following system requirements:

  • Windows® (95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000, XP) or Mac OS 8.5 G3 PowerPC® or higher computer.
  • Color display with at least 800 by 600 pixel resolution.
  • For Windows®, use Internet Explorer® 5.0, 5.5, or 6.0 or Netscape® Navigator 4.5 though 4.78. Netscape® 6 is supported only with RealPlayer® at this time, Netscape® 7 has not been tested yet.
  • For Macintosh systems, use Netscape® Navigator 4.5 through 4.78. Netscape® 6 is not fully supported at this time, Netscape® 7has not been tested yet.
  • Javascript enabled.
  • A 56.6k modem or faster Internet connection.

The following media streaming players are supported .

  • Microsoft® WindowsMedia® Player (For Windows 98®, Me or 2000 users: Version 7.0. For Windows 95® or NT users: Version 6.4 with updated codecs)
  • RealNetworks® RealPlayer® (RealPlayer® G2 , RealPlayer® 8, Real® One)
