Coming soon... you will be able to discover the pharmacokinetics knowledge available in PKline® Pharmacokinetics Database on CD-ROM, a component of the Prous Science Data Mining Project: MFline®, PKline®, CSline®.
Aim
PKline® summarizes pharmacokinetic values from experimental and clinical studies in animals and human that delineate the fate of a drug after its administration through different routes and provide the basis for its clinical use.
Scope
The PKline® database cites Cmax, Tmax, t1/2, AUC, Cl, VD and similar values for drugs currently on the market or in development.
Sources
Information is extracted from heterogeneous, peer-reviewed data sources (current literature and conference abstracts).
Software
Proprietary "data mining" software allows "hands-on" management and organization of data to facilitate the comprehensive review of the fate of a drug after its administration, including the identified metabolites and their own pharmacokinetic properties.
PKline® runs on the Windows® platform (95, 98 or NT v. 3.51 or higher).
Features
- Values are presented in standardized units for each parameter allowing easy comparison of results from different experimental models (diverse animal species, healthy volunteers versus patients with renal and/or hepatic failure).
- Display individual or mean values for each pharmacokinetic parameter in a given model.
- Customizable tables for displaying and sorting data.
- Full reference citation provided for each datum in the database; references can be viewed individually for each value or as a complete set for the hits retrieved.
- Data that are fully exportable to popular spreadsheet applications for integration with in-house data.
- "Bookmark" only those data you wish to export or print.
- Attractive report formats.
Updates
The PKline® CD-ROM is updated every two months. Pharmacological data extracted from more than 750 journal articles, congresses and books are added each year.
